Charles Stanley Shelton, 83, of Hodgenville passed away Thursday January 20, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
Charles was born February 21, 1938 in Salt River Kentucky to the late Irvin Stanley and Alice Victoria Campbell Shelton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Carolyn Mantooth, one brother, Donald Irvin Shelton and his wife Dorothy, one sister, Mary Regina Flairty and her husband Alfred.
Charles was a member of New Haven 1st Baptist Church, he was a Mason of Duvall #6 in Bardstown, He was a History Buff, and a collector of many things, he was an Auto Body Mechanic on Corvettes, he was part of the Civil War reenactor.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Charles Jeffrey (Robin) Shelton of Hodgenville, and Stanley James (Valerie) Shelton of New Haven, one daughter, Regina Louise (Andy) Allison of Louisville, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Charles Stanley will be held Saturday January 29, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with Brother Glenn Metcalf and Brother Aaron Shipp officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville at a later date.
Visitation for Charles will be held Saturday January 29, 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
