Stephen Kent “Steve” Clyde, 63, of Hodgenville passed away Monday March 08, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Steve was an avid farmer he loved working with his hands, he loved his family.

He was a member of Larue Baptist Church, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  

He was born December 16, 1957 in Hardin County to his  parents, Kenneth Ray Clyde and Brenda Joyce Lee Applegate.

He was preceded in death by his Step-father, Charles Applegate.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sue Ann Nally Clyde, of Hodgenville, a daughter, Courtney (Rhodes) Bell of Hodgenville, two grandchildren, Jesslyn Rae Ann Bell and Clyde Kenneth Bell, his father, Kenneth Ray (Emily Jane) Clyde of Hodgenville, and his mother, Brenda Joyce Applegate of Louisville,  two sisters, Vicki (Todd) Ackermann of Louisville, Cindy Crider of Shepherdsville, one brother Gary (Marilyn) Ruph of Shepherdsville, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Steve Kent Clyde, will be held Thursday March 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, with Brother Nathan Housley and Brother Marty Lee officiating with burial to follow at the Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo.

Visitation for Stephen Kent “Steve” Clyde, will be held Wednesday March 10, 2021 from 2 to 8 p.m. and will continue Thursday  after 9 until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel

Alfred Stewart Underwood, 60, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday March 7, 2021 at his daughters home in Munfordville, Kentucky.

He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, he was a loving father, son, pop pop, brother and friend. He was a great pop pop, he loved his family and grandchildren.

He was born September 10, 1960 in Taylor County to the late Russell Boone Underwood and his mother, Evelyn Dolores Shaw Underwood.

He was a member of the National Guard, he was a retired first Cook at Fort Knox, he was an avid deer hunter.

 He is survived by his two daughters, Tiffany Brooke Underwood of Elizabethtown, and Jessica Nicole (Seth) Long, of Munfordville, his mother, Evelyn Dolores Underwood, of Buffalo, three grandchildren, Sylas Phoneix and Lilly Reign Juliette Clifford, and Delilah Mae Long, the mother of his children Leslie “Dana” Matyjewicz-Pullen of Creal, two step-children, Christopher Brewer of Buffalo, and Pamela Brewer of Campbellsville, three brothers, Russell Dean Underwood of Kansas, Douglas Russell (Bonnie) Underwood, of Campbellsville, Gregory Arnold Underwood of Buffalo ( Brother and best friend), one sister, Elizabeth Underwood (Wayne) Maeser M.D. of Louisville, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services for Alfred Stewart Underwood, will be held Saturday March 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at South Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church, with Brother Shannon McCubbins officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation for Alfred will be held Friday March 12, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel and will continue Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the church until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Nancy Carol Brown McLaughlin, 80, of Boston, Kentucky passed away Friday February 26, 2021 at her residence in Boston, Kentucky.

Nancy was born August 6, 1940 in Shelbyville Ind. to the late Clarence and LaNora Hauk Brown.

She was a Christian by faith, a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, sister.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by, her husband, Richard A. McLaughlin, a son Brian Conover, two brothers, Kenneth and Pete Brown, one sister, JoAnn Brown.

She is survived by two sons, Brent Conover of Shelbyville, Ind. and John (Cindy Lyons) McLaughlin of Louisville, two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In keeping with her wishes cremation was chosen.

There will be a memorial service Wednesday March 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel.

David Wayne Allen, 62, of Buffalo passed away Thursday February 18, 2021, at his residence in Buffalo, Kentucky.

He was a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

He was born in Elizabethtown on August 22, 1958 to the late J.H. and Iona Joyce Lee Allen.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristie Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Constant Allen of Buffalo, a son, Chad Allen of Hodgenville, two grandchildren, Halie (Brandon) Lewis, and Asa Erickson, one great grandchild, Beckham Lewis, two brothers, Joey (Carla) Allen, and Larry Allen both of Hodgenville, three sisters, MaDonna Hornback of Hodgenville, Pat Beckwith of Buffalo, and Myra (Mark) Baker of Bardstown, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services for David Wayne Allen, will be held Monday February 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the William R. Rust Hodgenville Chapel, with Reverend Jim Webster officiating, Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville, Kentucky.

Visitation for David Allen will be Monday February  22, 2021 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Donald Gene McDowell

Donald Gene McDowell, 73, of Hodgenville, passed away on February 16, 2021.

 He was born on February 24, 1947 to James “Heavy” and Letha Hazel McDowell.

Donald was a lifelong farmer and resident of LaRue County, he was well known as the owner of McDowell Farm Machinery Sales and Service. Donald loved buying, selling and trading whether it be cattle, equipment or antiques. He was active in the LaRue County farming community and a current member and past board member of the LaRue County Cattlemen’s Association. Donald was a collector of antiques, and spent several years as a buyer for Cracker Barrel finding pieces to fill their restaurants nationally.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his loving companion Pat Hollingshead.

He is survived by his son Rodney (Amanda) McDowell and grandchildren, James Dawson McDowell, Sarah McDowell, Trevor, Trenton and Kelly Ake:  a sister Carolyn (Vernon) Cowherd of Campbellsville and his aunt Ruth Wortham.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, February 19 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at William R. Rust Funeral Home- Hodgenville Chapel in Hodgenville, KY. and will continue Saturday after 9 a.m. at the Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday February 20 at 1 p.m. with Brother Donald Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the South Fork Cemetery.

Face mask or face covering is required.
