Douglas Gene Benningfield, 66, of Vine Grove, Kentucky passed away March 16, 2021 at his residence in Vine Grove.

Douglas was born September 20, 1954 in Jefferson County to the late Leamon and Alvina Pruitt Benningfield.

Douglas was a self employed Heating and Cooling Tech.,

He was a loving Father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a host of brothers, and sisters.

He is survived by two sons, Gary (Angela) Benningfield of New Haven, Jerry Benningfield of Vine Grove, Jennifer Benningfield of Hodgenville, and Michelle (Brandon) Dunaway of Paynesville, his significant other Tina Benningfield, Thirteen grandchildren, one great great-grandson, two brothers, Larry and Wayne, two sisters, Rita Gail and Sandy, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Douglas Gene Benningfield will be held Sunday March 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the William R. Rust Hodgenville Chapel, with Brother Ed Parker officiating.

Visitation for Douglas G. Benningfield will be held Sunday March 21, 2021 from 1 to 8 p.m. with a funeral service at 3 p.m. at the William R Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel.

Arthur Wade “Butch” Henley, 63, of Howardstown, Kentucky went to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday March 14, 2021 with his family by his side.

Arthur Wade Henley was born September 19, 1957 in Chicago Ill. to the late Arthur “Art” and Dorothy Edna Robbins Henley.

Butch’s greatest treasure was his grandchildren, he was a loving husband, father, papa, and brother, he was a member of the Nelson county search and rescue Dive Team, he was a volunteer for the Rolling Fork Fire Dept., one of his hobbies was Scuba Diving, he loved woodworking, and he loved hunting.

In addition to his parents Butch is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Dianne Boone Henley of New Haven, two daughters, Patricia (Brad) Rust of Lexington, Alli (Mickey) Pope of Bardstown, Three grandchildren, Aspen, Jadeon, and Izzy, two brothers, Tommy (Betty Joe) Henley of New Haven, and Tony (Terri) Henley of Bardstown, two sisters, Maratha (Mike) Allen of Tuscola Il. And Bonnie Smith of Bardstown, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services for Arthur Wade “Butch” Henley will be held Sunday March 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, with Brother Jamie Smith officiating.

Visitation for Arthur Wade “Butch” Henley will be held Saturday March 20, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel and will continue after 9 a.m. in the chapel until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Louis William “Bill” Mahoney, 77, of Boston, Kentucky passed away Friday March 12, 2021 at his residence in Boston, Kentucky with his family by his side.

Louis was born October 12, 1943 in New Haven to the late Kent and Mary Agnes Dawson Mahoney. Bill was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Sue Sims, three brothers, Joe, Jimmy, and Ken Mahoney.

Bill is survived by a son, William (Davida) Mahoney of Virginia, a daughter, Sheri (Bill) Salinas of New Haven, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Dick Mahoney of Tampa Florida, and a sister, Dorothy Hall of Bardstown, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Louis William “Bill” Mahoney will be held Friday March 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven with Father Matthew Hardesty officiating. Burial will follow in St. Catherine church cemetery.

Visitation for Louis William “Bill” Mahoney will be Thursday March 18, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the William R. Rust funeral home New Haven Chapel, with prayer services at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of William R. Rust with Father Matthew Hardesty officiating. Visitation will continue Friday after 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m.

Stephen Kent “Steve” Clyde, 63, of Hodgenville passed away Monday March 08, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Steve was an avid farmer he loved working with his hands, he loved his family.

He was a member of Larue Baptist Church, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  

He was born December 16, 1957 in Hardin County to his  parents, Kenneth Ray Clyde and Brenda Joyce Lee Applegate.

He was preceded in death by his Step-father, Charles Applegate.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sue Ann Nally Clyde, of Hodgenville, a daughter, Courtney (Rhodes) Bell of Hodgenville, two grandchildren, Jesslyn Rae Ann Bell and Clyde Kenneth Bell, his father, Kenneth Ray (Emily Jane) Clyde of Hodgenville, and his mother, Brenda Joyce Applegate of Louisville,  two sisters, Vicki (Todd) Ackermann of Louisville, Cindy Crider of Shepherdsville, one brother Gary (Marilyn) Ruph of Shepherdsville, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alfred Stewart Underwood, 60, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday March 7, 2021 at his daughters home in Munfordville, Kentucky.

He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, he was a loving father, son, pop pop, brother and friend. He was a great pop pop, he loved his family and grandchildren.

He was born September 10, 1960 in Taylor County to the late Russell Boone Underwood and his mother, Evelyn Dolores Shaw Underwood.

He was a member of the National Guard, he was a retired first Cook at Fort Knox, he was an avid deer hunter.

 He is survived by his two daughters, Tiffany Brooke Underwood of Elizabethtown, and Jessica Nicole (Seth) Long, of Munfordville, his mother, Evelyn Dolores Underwood, of Buffalo, three grandchildren, Sylas Phoneix and Lilly Reign Juliette Clifford, and Delilah Mae Long, the mother of his children Leslie “Dana” Matyjewicz-Pullen of Creal, two step-children, Christopher Brewer of Buffalo, and Pamela Brewer of Campbellsville, three brothers, Russell Dean Underwood of Kansas, Douglas Russell (Bonnie) Underwood, of Campbellsville, Gregory Arnold Underwood of Buffalo ( Brother and best friend), one sister, Elizabeth Underwood (Wayne) Maeser M.D. of Louisville, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services for Alfred Stewart Underwood, will be held Saturday March 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at South Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church, with Brother Shannon McCubbins officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation for Alfred will be held Friday March 12, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel and will continue Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the church until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.
