Homer Lee Riggs, 68, of Clarkson Kentucky, passed away Monday October 11, 2021 at his daughters home in Hodgenville.

Homer Lee Riggs, was born June 6, 1953, in Hardin County to the late James Thomas and Bertha Etta Mae Butler Riggs.

Homer loved his family and he treasured his grandchildren, he was a member of Legion Post 81, He loved to ride his Harley and loved going to Harley Drags, he was an avid fisherman. He was a loving Father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Riggs.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Jason (Kristi) Riggs of Star Mills, and Cody Riggs of Elizabethtown, one daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Hamilton of Hodgenville,  eleven grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, Keri, Jacob, Samantha, Shelbie, Garrett, Gracie, Tyler, Jake, and Amos, one great-granddaughter, Madelynn, one brother, Jesse (Pam) Riggs of Clarkson, one sister, Linda (Gary) Brewer of Elizabethtown, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 Visitation for Homer Lee Riggs will be held Thursday October 14, 2021 from 2 -8 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel.

Adolfo “Gar” Garcia, 91, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2021.

He was an Army Veteran he served in the Korean War. He retired as a supervisor from Blue Grass Cooperage, he was a Kentucky Colonel.

Adolfo loved to golf, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and he rooted for U.K., most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Gar was hard working, very generous, and a caring person who will be deeply missed.

Gar was preceded in death by, his wife of sixty six years Libby, a daughter, Burma and a great- grandson Aidan.

He was a devoted father to seven children, Wade Maddox, Burma Keller (Vic), Lisa Baskett (Mike), Adolfo Garcia III, Paula Stewart (Tim), Kim Graves (Andy), and Genevra Fields (Chris), Thirteen grandchildren, Chanon, Kelly, Julie, Heather, Amber, Dustin, AJ, Chad, Shain, Leslie, Devon, Andrew, and Megan, Twenty two great-grandchildren, Six great great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, Saturday October 16, 2021, visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Vernon Ray Priddy Jr. 67, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday October 6, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

Vernon Ray Priddy was born October 1, 1954 in Hodgenville to the late Vernon Ray Sr. and Elizabeth Bright Priddy.

Vernon was a loving brother, and friend.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two nephews, Kenneth Ray and Adney Eli Ireland.

Survivors include his two daughters, Beth Fifield, of North Carolina, and Kelley Druen of Elizabethtown, one sister, Teresa Priddy of Hodgenville, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In keeping with families wishes Cremation was chosen.

Memorial service for Vernon Ray Priddy will be held Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. at the William R. Rust Hodgenville Chapel visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with Brother Ronnie Ramsey officiating.

Harvey “Junie” Hayden Jr. 79, of Boston Kentucky went to be with his heavenly father Sunday October 3, 2021 with his family by his side.

He was born in Fairfield, Kentucky October 2, 1942 to the late Harvey ‘Budge” Sr. and Anna Lucille Goben Hayden.

He was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, and friend.

He retired in 2005 from dairy farming. He never met a stranger, He enjoyed hunting and gathering with the Liars club at McDonalds, In 2019 he was proudly inducted into the Kentucky  Farmers Hall Of Fame of Nelson County.

In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby McGee and his brother-in-law, Carl Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Wanda Dones Hayden of Boston, three daughters, Lisa Roby, Pat (Ronnie) Hicks, and Karen (Sonny) Grubbs all of Bardstown, five grandchildren, Brent Roby, Elizabeth (Tyler) Smith, Kristen (Ryan) Brown, Tayler Ryan, and Sebastian Grubbs, three great-grandchildren, Lamia Smith, Hayden Brown, and Emersyn Smith, two sisters, Martha (Norman) Newton of Boston , and Shirley Edwards of Richmond Kentucky, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services for Harvey “Junie” Hayden Jr., will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 7, 2021 at St. Joesph Catholic Church in Bardstown, Kentucky with Father Terry Bradshaw officiating, burial to follow in the Boston Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation for Harvey Hayden Jr. will be held WednesdayOctober 6, from 2- 8 p.m. at Houghlin- Greenwell Funeral in Bardstown and will continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until time of service at St. Joesph Catholic Church.

Leatrice “Lea” Helen Veach Gibson, 88, passed away Saturday October 2, 2021 at Signature HealthCare in Louisville, Kentucky.

Leatrice Helen Gibson was born in Fountain Run May 12, 1933 to the late William Alpha and Virgie Kirby Veach.

Leatrice  Gibson was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and sister, she worked as a Cafeteria attendant at Nichols School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Sabe Merritt “S.M.” Gibson, one brother, James Mitchell Veach, and one sister, Ruby Vincent.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a son Harold (Michelle) Gibson of Floyds Knob, IN., one daughter, Joyce (Paul) Elliott of West Point, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, William Argel (Elaine) Veach of Horse Cave, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Leatrice  Helen ‘Lea” Veach Gibson will be held 12- 3 Monday October 4, 2021 at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel.

There will be a grave side service at 3:30 at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Mt. Sherman, with Brother Shannon McCubbins officiating.
