Delores Gibson *DO* Wheeler, 91, went peacefully to be with the Lord, Sunday March 31, 2024, with her family by her side.
D.O. was a loving and devoted mother, Grandmother she farmed alongside of her husband L.D. and raised four children, in a Christian home. She was a partner with her husband in Wheeler Sunoco in Sonora. She was a member of Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church in Magnolia.
Delores was born March 11, 1933 to late Wade and Ada Milby Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lee Doc Wheeler and one son Gary Wade Wheeler, six sisters, and three brothers.
Delores is survived by one son, Charles (Alice) Wheeler, two daughters, Debbie (Carlos) Tucker, and Julie Houk, eight grandchildren, Patrick (Michelle) Wheeler, Taylor (Tommy Osborne) Houk, Tera Thompson, Justin ( Ashley) Jackson, Matthew Tucker,
Missy (Eric Warp) Parrett, Blake Wheeler, Holly (Jimmy) Shaw, her daughter-in-law Joyce Wheeler,15 great-grandchildren, Oakley, Banden, Chase, Tanner, Mattie, Weston, Kylie, Kiera, Abby, Anna, James, Maggie, Paxton, Austin, Ashlyn, three great-great grandchildren, Easton, Nova, and Ryan, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Delores Gibson Wheeler will be Wednesday April 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the William R. Rust Hodgenville Chapel with Brother Mike Walker officiating, burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia.
Visitation for Delores will be held Tuesday April 2, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
